Same-Day Emergency Dentistry in Modesto, CA

Get the Care You Need, When You Need It Most

Dental emergencies rarely happen at a convenient time. Dental Gallery of Modesto offers same-day emergency treatment whenever possible, so you can get out of pain quickly. Call or text us as soon as the problem starts and we'll tell you what to do next.

What Counts as a Dental Emergency?

If something in your mouth is painful, bleeding, swollen, or broken, it's worth a call. Getting seen quickly often means a simpler fix.

  • Severe or throbbing toothache
  • A cracked, chipped, or broken tooth
  • A knocked-out or loosened tooth
  • Swelling in the face or gums
  • A lost filling or crown
  • A broken denture

What to Do Before Your Visit

For a knocked-out adult tooth, pick it up by the crown (not the root), rinse gently, and try to place it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Get to a dentist as quickly as possible. For a broken tooth, save any pieces and rinse with warm water. For a toothache, rinse with warm salt water and use over-the-counter pain relievers as directed. Never place aspirin directly on the gum.

If you have facial swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, a high fever, or uncontrolled bleeding, go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.

Your Comfort Matters

Emergencies are stressful. Our first priority is relieving your pain. Then we'll explain your options, whether that's a root canal to save the tooth, an extraction, or a temporary fix until a longer-term repair.
